How to Guide: Dvd Wholesale Buying on eBay by: Marsha J This is a guide on how to buy bulk blockbuster DVD's and not fall for the tricks. The great thing about EBay is that you can buy bulk DVD's for way less than you would if you went to a store and purchased them 1 at a time. You can buy 1 DVD or 400 DVD's at a time from sellers. However as with everything else, the dishonest have found that they can sell DVD's using trickery. Most of us come on looking to buy bulk DVD movies that are newer titles, at least mid to late 90's to recent. However there are sellers that will make you think that you are going to receive that but when you get your shipment you find that you have 200 movies that you have never heard of before. What you are getting is a ton of B-movies and if you're lucky the seller will throw in a "newer" release. Another bad seller will tell you that you are getting 300 movies but what they won't tell you is that it is 30 DVD's that has 10 movies on 1 disc. That equals crappy quality and crappy movies that once again you have never heard of. Here are a few clues that will help you to buy exactly what you want and not a box full of crap: If the seller is selling 100 movies and won't list any of them, they are probably all b-list movies Selling 50 brand new DVD's for $50. People can make sometimes $200 or more selling 50 used blockbuster DVD's so ask yourself why someone would be selling 50 DVD's for such a cheap price? The answer will be because they are not movies that you would want. Seller has pictures but they are vague at best. They show sides that don't show what the movies are, or pictures so blurry you can't make out the title of the movies or you might get pictures that shows hundreds of DVD's but the camera is far enough away that you still can't see what you're getting. Another trick is to show you product pictures (pictures from Amazon and other retail sites) like Something About Mary all the while being vague that you MAY or MAY NOT receive those pictured. Always read the entire auction because these sellers will use giant fonts, small fonts, bold, italic and all the bells and whistles in their auction to confuse you into skipping the reading part and just looking at the pictures. Every few months the places that most of these sellers get their junk DVD's from probably offers a few blockbuster titles because you will see many telling you and showing you pictures of the same blockbuster movies that you MIGHT get. As of now August 2006 a bunch of these sellers are offering movies like:
But remember you MAY or MAY NOT get these. They are just telling you that some people will get one or two newer releases to go with the old classics and budget DVD's you would find in the $0.99 bin at a retail store. A few other clues include them telling you that there will be 2 movies per DVD. Now when is the last time you bought a blockbuster DVD in a store and there were two blockbuster films on it? Also beware of the name dropping game. Sellers will go on and on about the stars that are in some of the movies: Sandra Bullock, Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster, Keanu Reeves, etc. What they don't say is that these are the early crappy movie roles they had to take on their way to fame. The movies they regret ever starring in. When you search online on search engines for wholesale DVD's you will find those selling DVD's for pennies on the dollar and that is where these EBay sellers are getting these junk films. These are a few movies you should memorize:
Memorize them because when you see those words in the auction you should know it's time to run. Like I said many do not tell you what you will get but sometimes if you look real hard at the pictures you will see Velocity sometimes on the DVD. Now I can tell you where to get a good deal on DVD's. Try to pay attention to auctions where the seller lists ALL of the movies they are offering. They know that when people see the blockbuster films up for auction they will happily bid because they know what they are getting and they won't be wondering what if any crappy movies will be filling the box. These sellers will often have pictures showing you nice and up close pictures of the actual DVD's and many use the words "Personal Collection" because it's people like me and you who are selling of their DVD collection for one reason or another but it is usually to raise money for something. There are legitimate sellers who don't have pictures up, but they will take great pains to describe condition of DVD's and list all the movies in the auction. When searching put ending soonest and you will see the bidding wars going on for real blockbuster DVD's. They are usually in the mid to high hundreds or even thousands of dollars because people want blockbuster DVD's and they can get hundreds at a discount price. Many of these auctions even though they seem high total up $2-$4 per blockbuster DVD. And that's great considering most retail from $9.99 to $27.99 or more. Wholesale DVD EBay Search Take a look at the above link and you will be able to see some legitimate sellers and you will also see the budget DVD sellers just from their vague and hazy pictures next to the auctions. Remember to read the full auction and run if you see Abraxas. Click Here to read more informative Wholesale DVD Guides Copyright © 2003 - 2009 Wholesale-DVD-Directory.com All Rights Reserved. |
